Description
In close proximity to Tours and Orleans, this comfortable country house offers the scenery and tranquility of a country estate, with the sights of the Loire Valley at your fingertips. Elegant décor and luxurious furnishings distinguish this early 19th century country home. Completely renovated in 2003, La Lissière can comfortably accommodate eight to twelve guests.
La Lissière shares the grounds of the stately Château de Beaumont with another France Homestyle property, L’Ermitière. Along with well-equipped outdoor dining areas and lovely views of the countryside, the estate includes a heated swimming pool and tennis court for guests of these two rental homes.
A large fireplace is the focal point of the living room, tastefully decorated with period furniture. Arched doorways, wall molding and rustic tile floors hint at the antiquity of the house. The living room leads into a formal dining room with French doors that open to the garden. The bright and charming kitchen is fully equipped, with a gas range, dishwasher, wall oven, and microwave. The main floor also has a comfortably furnished family room, equipped with satellite television, DVD and home cinema.
The four bedrooms are found on the second floor. One is furnished with a queen-size bed and ensuite bath with shower and toilet. The other three bedrooms each have two twin beds. A second full bathroom and separate toilet is also located on this floor, as well as a washing machine and dryer.

Enjoy the peace and beauty of a rural setting, with fascinating cultural and historic sites only a stone’s throw away. La Lissière faces a courtyard of outbuildings belonging to the Château de Beaumont. Along with the chateau’s private tennis court and a swimming pool, sports enthusiasts will enjoy the many nearby golf courses and an equestrian center.
The Loire Valley is a region rich in history, thanks partly to the presence of French Royalty over many centuries. You are within a short distance of the principal chateaux of the Loire, including Cheverny, Chambord, Blois, Chenonceaux, Chaumont - not to mention Beauregard, Villesavin, Villandry, Talcy, and Meung-sur-Loire.
You’ll also enjoy exploring the historic towns and cities of the Loire: Orléans, Beaugency, Clery, et Blois, with their romantic abbeys, distinguished architecture, cathedrals, museums, bridges and vibrant commercial and cultural centers.

We stayed at La Lissiere the first week of June, and dearly loved it. We loved the layout and the people who run it are delightful and very helpful.
We loved the outdoor patio and table. We ate our breakfast there and loved it. Of course, the dining room was beautiful and quite useable. The kitchen was beautifully equipped. It was wonderful to have the washer and dryer there also. The location was quite close to everything we wanted to see and easy to drive to.
Thank you for a lovely stay, and we will be recommending it to others. Please let the people know how much we loved their home!
