The apartment building is located near two of the most famous cafés of Paris, "La Coupole" and "La Closerie des Lilas". The area includes a plethora of specialty shops, small cafés, reasonably priced restaurants, and movie theaters. Nearby Boulevard Raspail is a good area to take art classes or French classes at the Alliance Française, or shop for organic produce at the market ("marché bio") on Sunday mornings.
