Nearby Attractions
Originally part of a hotel particuler or town house built between 1605 and 1612, the Carnavalet apartment is in one of the oldest buildings in Paris. This lively, historic neighborhood has retained its charm and atmosphere. One can enjoy opera and ballet at the Bastille, many local shops specializing in wine, cheese, food and flowers, along with numerous bistros, cafes, jazz bars, lively nightclubs, and restaurants. Trendy clothing and antique shops abound. The picturesque Place des Vosges is regarded as the most beautiful square in all of Paris. The near-by Musie Carnavalet features fascinating displays on the history of Paris. The Maison de Victor Hugo, located at No.6 Place des Vosges, now houses a museum. The Picasso museum and two wonderful open-air markets, one on Boulevard Richard Lenoir and the other on Rue de Bretagne, are nearby. This is an ideal and convenient location for exploring all Paris has to offer
