Description
Groups of friends or family will feel instantly at home in this remarkably spacious two-bedroom apartment in the wonderful Rue Cler neighborhood.
Champ de Mars apartment provides cozy space in which to relax, dine, cook, entertain, and really “live” in Paris. The 1930's Art Deco building, on a quiet side street, is equipped with an elevator and has just two units per floor. Hardwood floors, generous built-in closets and decorative marble-faced fireplaces throughout enhance the tasteful décor.
From the entry hallway, one accesses the living room, independent dining room and kitchen. Comfortable and inviting, the living room is furnished with two sofas (one folding out to a bed sleeping two), several occasional chairs and a TV set with DVD player. Three tall windows face the street below. The adjacent dining room, bright with natural light, is separated from the livingroom by glass doors. Dining table seats six. Across the hall is the kitchen with a window over the inner courtyard. With a dishwasher, refrigerator, electric range and microwave, plus an ample collection of cookware and utensils, guests are well set up to prepare meals using the excellent products found on nearby Rue Cler and Rue Saint Dominique.
The two bedrooms are found at the end of the wraparound hallway. One has a queen size bed, closet, desk, TV, and small sitting alcove. The second, larger bedroom has a fireplace, two closets, and a king size bed which can be made up as two single beds. Each bedroom has a window over the quiet inner courtyard, blocking out street noise and allowing for a pleasant night's rest.
The tiled bath is conveniently located between the two bedrooms, and includes a sink and a full bathtub with glass shower enclosure. Separate toilet.
General amenities include phone with voice mail, two cable TVs, DVD player, stereo, washer and dryer, and high-speed Internet.
Nearby Attractions
Located on Rue Duvivier, between Rue de Grenelle and Avenue de la Motte-Picquet, just east of "Champ de Mars", the apartment is within walking distance of the Musée Rodin, the Seine, the huge gilded dome of the Invalides, Napoleon’s tomb, and the Eiffel Tower with its lovely gardens, playground, and night spectacles. This quartier is filled with charming shops to browse, wonderful small restaurants and cafés, and architecturally striking streets. It is located directly parallel to the best block of the deservedly famous market street, Rue Cler. Here you’ll find vendors with quality produce, meats, and cheeses, fresh baked breads, and specialty shops selling fine wines, chocolate, pastries, and other treats. This centrally located neighborhood is “kid-friendly”, with several large open spaces and playgrounds nearby. There is a multitude of bridges nearby that lead to the right bank and the Champs-Élysées.
