Description
This tastefully refurbished apartment is located on the second floor American in a 18th century building with architectural features linking it to its past. One of the oldest inhabited neighborhoods in Paris, St. Germain was once the location of a medieval abbey. The quality furnishings and features throughout this apartment create a tasteful and comfortable environment respectful of its roots.
A small entry leads to the main living area with its exposed, ancient wood beams and original hardwood floors. Two windows on the street side face the street opposite the buiding thus providing ample light. The sitting area has an inviting deep red pull out couch, side tables with lamps, and coffee table. The dining table near the windows seats four. Tucked behind a convenient
wood-topped counter, the open kitchen is fully equipped with new cabinets, four electric burners, half size refrigerator/freezer, combination conventional and microwave oven, and dishwasher. For your convenience, high-speed Internet access and free international phone calls (not to cell phones) are included.
To the right of the entry, a door opens to the quiet bedroom on the courtyard side of the building furnished with king size bed that can be made up as twin beds, side tables, lamps, chest of drawers, area rugs. Built-in closet in the hallway to the living-room. Bright and cheerful blue and white tiled en suite bathroom has a tub with wall mounted shower and sink. Separate toilet with access from either bedroom or living-room. Both the bedroom and bathroom have natural light from windows opening to the courtyard. A small laundry room off the bedroom contains a combination washer/dryer, iron, ironing board and storage cabinet. Television, telephone, hairdryer and quality house linens provided.
Nearby Attractions
This apartment is in the heart of one of the most desirable areas in of Paris, between the Luxembourg Gardens and the River Seine. It is an animated district near the bustling Blvd. St. Germain and many little side streets with interesting boutiques, cafés, restaurants, bakeries, and pastry shops. A few blocks away, are the famous Parisian bookstalls lining the river and the Musée d’Orsay. Just across the Seine, the Louvre and the Tuileries Gardens are among the many famous Paris landmarks in the vicinity.
