Description
Newly renovated “Péniche Concorde” is an unforgettable place to stay in the heart of the French capital. 82 feet long, 15 feet wide and 6 feet high, the houseboat is moored on the Seine between the Léopold Sédar Senghor foot bridge (formerly Pont de Solferino) and Pont de la Concorde, facing Le Musée d'Orsay.
Bask in the view of the Seine's cool waters and classic Parisian boulevards as you relax on the 500 square foot sundeck, equipped with new patio furniture and a picnic table. Below deck, the air-conditioned main space --340 sq. ft.-- includes a kitchen, dining area, and cozy living room with two sofas, armchairs, a coffee table, flat screen television and sound system with iPod connection. A small separate office area has a desk and telephone. The kitchen is equipped with an electric stove, microwave, oven, dishwasher, two refrigerators and separate freezer. The dining table can seat up to ten people. Newly polished hardwood floors throughout.
Washer and dryer located in the storage area at the back of the boat.
The bedrooms, located on both ends of the boat, are classic bunk-style, cozy and compact, with ample built-in closet space, porthole windows and skylights. As you descend into the houseboat from the upper deck, you come to the master bedroom, with a queen bed and ensuite bathroom with large shower. Beyond the living area is another bedroom, also with a queen bed. The third bedroom has a double bed and desk. A small second bathroom has a shower and sink. Single toilet is located in the hallway.
"Concorde" is well equipped with culinary utensils, cookware and house linens.
Nearby Attractions
Péniche Concorde is within walking distance to the Jardin des Tuileries, Louvre museum, Musée d’Orsay, Place de la Concorde and Champs- Élysées.
A few steps from the houseboat, from the embankment, there is direct access to Jardin des Tuileries, while Saint-Germain-des-Prés is just across Passerelle Léopold Sédar Senghor.
About 150 meters from the port is a ¨batobus¨ stop, a water bus that shows Paris from the river and takes Parisians and visitors to prestigious locations such as the Musée d’ Orsay, the Tour Eiffel, and the Champs-Élysées.
Two nearby metro stops, Concorde and Solférino, make it easy to visit other areas of the city.

We loved the boat. It could not have been more centrally located, the view was fantastic, and the time we spent on the top deck was memorable. Our experience would have been even better in the spring/summer when we could have opened up the boat more. Would I stay there again? Absolutely!
