This bright, stylish 624 square foot apartment is located steps from the bustling Marais district, on the second floor of a classic Haussman-era 19th century building with elevator. Original parquet floors, tall Parisian windows, and a clean, tasteful aesthetic make this a pleasant and exceptionally convenient base for exploring all that Paris has to offer.

From the entry, a long hallway accesses the main living area on one side and the two bedrooms on the other. The open living/diningroom is furnished with a comfortable sofa bed, a glass coffee table, a small café table beside the windows, and a dining table seating six. French windows give access to a narrow balcony overlooking Boulevard du Temple; two chairs and a small table allow guests to enjoy their morning café and croissants in the fresh air, or observe the goings-on of the lively street below in the afternoon sun.

The kitchen has a large window facing the courtyard. Small but efficient, it is equipped with a full-sized refrigerator/freezer, traditional oven, gas range with one electric burner, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, and all the cookware and dishes needed to prepare your wonderful market finds.
Combination washer/dryer.
In the entry area, there is a convenient "office nook" with a writing desk, telephone and internet cable for guests to hook up laptops.

Convenient to the entry and bedrooms, the bathroom has a raised sink, tiled shower, and separate toilet room. The two bedrooms, both outfitted with large armoires, can easily accommodate a variety of guest configurations. One has a queen-sized bed and the second has two single beds; both look out over the quieter Rue Arnelot. The sofa bed in the main room sleeps two more.

From the apartment there is exceptionally easy access to all the Marais has to offer, including two wonderful open-air markets, one on Boulevard Richard Lenoir and the other on Rue de Bretagne. The Marais is both historic and brimming with energy, with entertainment to suit all tastes, from opera and ballet at the Bastille, to lively nightclubs, cafés and jazz bars. A great area to explore on foot, it also has many interesting galleries, shops, cafés, historic mansions, and tucked away squares and courtyards. The beautiful seventeenth century Place des Vosges, Musée Carnavalet, and Musée Picasso are all within four to six blocks of the apartment. Within a block, there is the intriguing Cirque d’Hiver, a decorative round building dating from 1852 that still features famous circus acts with acrobats, jugglers, clowns, contortionists, and trapeze artists. Staying in the Marais is both fun and convenient, near so many important destinations from the Bastille to the Latin Quarter and surrounded by beautiful, historic monuments and architecture.
There is a métro station directly outside the apartment building, so the rest of Paris is also easily accessible.

We had a great time and Sabine was very accommodating.  We even left our key in the apartment and she had someone meet us and give us another one.  She was great and the apartment was great.  Thank you very much.
