Description
Experience a dreamlike vacation in this extraordinary villa set in the fragrant hills above Porticcio in southwestern Corsica. Peace and calm are assured, whether while relaxing in the spacious house or admiring views of Ajaccio Bay from the sprawling pool patio and multiple balconies.
Airy and spacious, the villa is flooded with light from large windows. Nearly every room opens to the outdoors. Very well suited to large family parties, the house has tile floors, quality furnishings and wide-arched passageways throughout. The main floor consists of a living room, a dining room, a fully equipped independent kitchen, and three bedrooms. Two of the bedrooms have a queen bed and an en-suite full bath; the third has two single beds. Upstairs there are two more double bedrooms with en-suite baths, and a mezzanine level with sleeping room for one. Three of the five bedrooms open to a balcony overlooking the pool patio and the clear blue waters of Ajaccio Bay beyond. The cheerful kitchen opens to a terrace with barbecue. Below the main level is large garage for two to four cars and a laundry room.
Outdoors is a huge pool patio, fully fenced. Assorted deck and dining furniture allows guests to barbecue and dine al fresco all throughout the spring, summer and fall.
Nearby Attractions
Ajaccio Bay Villa is perched on a hillside less than two miles outside the village of Porticcio in southern Corsica. Well-maintained sandy beaches are less than two miles away and offer a variety of beach and swimming-related activities. Hike inland and discover the rich botanical landscape of this region of Corsica. Food stores, a bank, and a post office are found in Porticcio, one mile from the house. A number of attractive and animated restaurants and bars line the coast at the foot of the Porticcio hill.
