Description
This private paradise is located in a quiet residential area of the charming seaside village of Eze Bord de Mer. The villa is situated on a hill above the sea, facing south with a 180-degree view of the Mediterranean and surrounding coastal cliffs, only a five-minute walk to the beach or shopping. With over 1,700 square feet surrounded by tropical vegetation and fragrant orange and pine trees, the villa is an ideal peaceful and relaxing vacation environment. In 2010 the owner installed a gorgeous infinity pool, pétanque court and outdoor exercise room for added enjoyment.
Completely renovated in 2005, this impressive villa takes full advantage of its Provencal roots with tile floors throughout, exposed wood beam ceilings, and a large open living area. A fireplace, upright Kawai piano, and two comfortable leather sofas form a relaxing conversation area near the arched windows overlooking the terrace and sea. At the other end of the room, the spacious dining area, also with sea views, has a wood and wrought iron table seating six. Off the living room, a large private terrace with patio furniture and barbecue is perfect for romantic dining while enjoying the spectacular Mediterranean and mountain views. The fully equipped open kitchen has a dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, range, oven, freezer and refrigerator. General amenities include Internet access, satellite TV with DVD player, stereo CD player, washer/dryer, and private attached garage with security camera. All the rooms are air conditioned.
Ideally accommodating three couples, each of the three bedrooms has its own full bathroom. The bedrooms are spacious and pleasingly furnished with new, comfortable beds, the master bedroom with a king size bed, the second bedroom a queen size bed and the third bedroom with twin beds that can be combined into one bed.
Nearby Attractions
Rich in history and natural beauty, this area is accessed by three renowned scenic highways, the Basse Corniche at sea level, the Moyenne Corniche halfway up the hills, and the Grande Corniche, a winding costal road at the highest elevation. All three are well-engineered roads with spectacular views that traverse the hills between Nice and Monaco. Eze-Bord de Mer is a lovely seaside community situated off the Basse Corniche with beautiful stone villas, tropical vegetation, several paths leading to the sea and a pleasant shopping area with quality restaurants. Higher up the cliffs off the Moyenne Corniche, the village of Eze is one of the most picturesque spots in the region. Dating from the fourteenth century, this quaint, Provencal perched village has spectacular views of the sea and coastline. It features picturesque narrow lanes, restored stone homes, shady squares, and refreshing fountains. A small, rocky path winds through the “Jardin Exotique” surrounding Le Château de la Chèvre d’Or. From here it is about an hour’s walk back to the villa in Eze Bord-de-Mer on the scenic Sentier Friedrich-Nietzsche path. Off the Grand Corniche, you can access a large regional nature park with beautiful vegetation, scenic views and the interesting "Maison de la Nature". Besides enjoying the beaches, activities include tennis, golf, horseback riding, fishing, windsurfing, aerial sports, climbing and scuba diving. It is only a six-mile drive to Nice or Monte Carlo.
