Description
This rustic two-story Provençal stone house is a dream come true for a large family or group of friends. The lush, private setting includes forested areas, an open grass field, views of the surrounding hills, a tennis court, and a large shaded swimming pool with pool house.
Warm and welcoming, the ground floor entry has a fireplace and seating area. Just past this area, the cheerful kitchen is equipped with a combination gas and electric range, wall-mounted oven, refrigerator, microwave, numerous small appliances, and quality cookware. A bar table set with stools makes it easy and pleasurable to cook and socialize at the same time. Adjacent to the kitchen is a sitting room with French doors opening to the lovely grounds. The living room has comfortable seating and another country fireplace. Separate dining room is furnished with a table for eight. From here, doors open directly to the outdoors.
This floor also has three bedrooms, one with a double bed, one with bunk beds, and the third with a single bed. The bedrooms share two shower rooms and one independent toilet. A fourth room, furnished with four single beds, serves as a children’s room. Adjacent shower room with sink and toilet; separate laundry room with washer and dryer.
Upstairs, the three bedrooms provide a variety of sleeping accommodations: one has a double bed, one has a double bed and a crib, and the third, located next to a shower room, also has a double bed. Each bedroom has its own washbasin. In addition, there is a spacious independent bathroom on this floor with large tub, wall-hung shower, and independent toilet.
Behind the main house is a small pool house with an additional double bedroom and a shower room.
Mobile phone provided by owners upon request. Full time housekeepers live in independent quarters. Linens provided.
Nearby Attractions
This property, on the edge of the remote village of Peypin d'Aigues, is located in the Lubéron region, an area blessed with a luminosity that has inspired artists for centuries. Nearby Pertuis has narrow picturesque streets, historic homes and several weekly markets. Another charming village, La Tour d’Aigues, is located on the banks of the River Èze in the beautiful Lubéron Regional Park. The Tour d’Aigues Château with its Renaissance edifice is well worth a visit, as is the Tuesday morning market. Regional activities include hiking, horseback riding, canoeing and mountain biking. Seventeen miles to the beautiful historic city of Aix-en-Provence.
