Description
This classic two-story Provençal stone house in a private, lush setting, is a dream come true for a large family or group of friends. The spacious grounds have wooded areas, an open grass field large enough for soccer games, views of the surrounding hills, tennis court, and large swimming pool with pool house.
On the ground floor, the entry with fireplace and seating is open to the kitchen with combination gas and electric range with conventional oven, refrigerator, microwave, numerous small appliances and quality cookware. Adjacent to this, is a sitting room with French doors to the lovely grounds, comfortable seating and another country fireplace. Separate dining room with long table. This floor also has three bedrooms, one with a double bed, one with bunk beds, and the third with a single bed. These share two shower rooms and one independent toilet. A children’s room serves as a sleeping and playroom with four single beds. There is an adjacent third shower room with sink and toilet. Separate laundry room with washer and dryer.
Up the stairs, the three white bedrooms, each with a washbasin, provide a variety of sleeping accommodations; one with double bed, one with a double bed and crib, and the third also with a double bed next to another shower room. Also on this floor, is an independent large bathroom with large tub and wall-hung shower and an independent toilet.
Pool house behind the main house has an additional double bedroom, small but quiet and pleasant, and a shower room. Mobile phone provided by owners upon request. Full time janitors live in independent quarters. Linens provided.
Nearby Attractions
This property is located in the Luberon region, an area with a very special atmosphere created by the luminous quality of the light just at the exit of the remote village of Peypin d'Aigues. The village of Pertuis has narrow picturesque streets, restored historic homes and several local markets. Another pleasant village, La Tour d’Aigues, is located on the banks of the River Eze within the beautiful Luberon Regional Park. The Tour d’Aigues Château with its Renaissance edifice, is worth a visit. Tuesday morning market. Local activities of the region include hiking, horseback riding, and mountain biking. Only seventeen miles to the historic city of Aix-en-Provence.
