Description
In a pastoral setting on large wooded grounds, this comfortable cottage makes a wonderful vacation retreat. The interior is cheerful with colorful Provencal fabrics and antique country and wicker furniture. The pleasant, tile floored living room includes, double sofa bed, extra single bed, and television. Kitchenette is well equipped with painted green cabinets, wood counter, dishwasher, washing machine, half size refrigerator, four burner stove, conventional oven and coffee maker.
The bedroom has king size bed with bright bedspread and drapes in a local print. Attractive wood panel closet door and 19th century wood school desk add to its charm. Bathroom has shower stall and separate toilet.
The spacious grounds include a shaded gravel patio with portable barbecue and yard furniture, allowing guests to enjoy the fresh air and trees while having meals outside. Central heating.
Nearby Attractions
Lourmarin is easy to reach from Aix-en-Provence and the freeway. Located at the foot of the Lubéron hills, it bears the official title "Un des plus Beaux Villages de France", and is indeed one of the most beautiful small towns in the country. The soft golden light of Lourmarin is unforgettable; it has attracted numerous artists and writers. Many interesting summer festivals are held in the area.

We returned yesterday having left Lourmarin on Saturday. I wanted you to know that the cottage was perfect for our 2 weeks in the Luberon which brought closure to a total of 6 weeks in Europe. It was immaculately clean and charming, had everything we needed, and it was wonderfully quiet. Bernard and Claude were delightful hosts, and went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable. We would love to return sometime in the future!
