Description
This lovely villa, nestled within two acres of vineyards and Mediterranean flora, and perched on a promontory overlooking the surrounding hills, offers the best of both worlds: a secluded natural haven just minutes away from the bustling glamour of St. Tropez.
Ideal for play and relaxation, the property slopes gradually down towards a large outdoor pool made private by a cocoon of umbrella pines, palms, oak trees and grape vines. The expansive lounge area around the pool includes a poolhouse with comfortable new patio furniture and lovely views.
On the main floor of the house, adjoining the open dining room, is the spacious and comfortable living room, newly re-furnished, including television, VCR and DVD player. The bright, spacious kitchen has been fully re-appointed in the past year with everything a guest might need to feed and entertain a large party: New appliances include dishwasher, microwave, large refrigerator with freezer, washer/dryer, electric stove as well as a professional quality gas range and oven, and informal kitchen dining table. An inner courtyard area has a barbecue, ping-pong table and a table seating ten, or you can choose to dine on the patio outdoors surrounded by nature. Upstairs are the six bedrooms, each with double bed, private bath and balcony or patio access through French doors. There is one additional single bed, making it possible for the villa to sleep up to 13 people. Three of the bathrooms have tubs, three of them have showers and there are two separate WCs.
Nearby Attractions
Less than a mile away is the village of Ramatuelle, overlooking the sparkling Bay of Pampelonne. Enclosed by ramparts, this beautiful medieval village boasts a rich cultural life, with jazz and classical music festivals, excellent theater and a local cinema. Jasmine, honeysuckle and bougainvillea add a sensual element to the many charming restaurants and shops tucked into Ramatuelle's narrow winding streets and alleyways. Farmer's markets are held on Thursdays and Sundays.
Below, the sandy beaches of the Bay of Pampelonne stretch out for 5 kilometers, carved with creeks and inlets with crystal clear water, excellent for both private and public beach excursions.
A few minutes' drive to the north is the famed town of St. Tropez, known for its celebrity visitors and glamorous way of life, typified by the numerous yachts dotting the harbor. Just inland from St. Tropez is the picturesque historical town of Grimaud, crowned by a ruined castle and full of charming boutiques and galleries. For quieter excursions, the hills surrounding the villa make for wonderfully restorative nature walks.
