Description
Located on the top floor of a restored "Hotel Particulier", this bright and open apartment offers wonderful views of the old city. Approximately 600 sq. ft., it retains its historic atmosphere with high, exposed wood beam ceilings. Recently redecorated, the comfortable living room has two sofas, a fireplace, bookshelves, TV, and access to a small mezzanine floor with a single bed. The kitchen has a dining table seating six and modern appliances, including a four burner gas stove, combination microwave/conventional oven, and refrigerator. On the quiet side of the building, the pleasant bedroom has a double bed and large closet. The full bathroom has a tub with wall mounted shower, sink, and toilet. Laundry room with washer, dryer, extra freezer and second toilet.
The entrance of the building is located on a street with restricted car access. Inexpensive underground public parking available nearby.
Nearby Attractions
Rue Aude has an excellent location halfway between the famous Avenue Cours Mirabeau and Aix's City Hall. This elegant and historic part of Aix-en-Provence has fountains, charming squares, old churches, mansions, cafés and boutiques. There are bakeries and other food stores almost at the foot of the building. Two supermarkets are located a short walk away. Picturesque "provencal" open markets are within a five minute walk.
