Nestled in a forest of pine trees on a hillside, less than 2 miles above Grimaud and the Mediterranean coast line, this small ‘mas’ or ‘mazet’ is an enchanting and comfortable retreat, ready to welcome you any time of the year. Surrounded by lovely flowers and shrubs –the owner is a plant lover and expert gardener— protected from wind and view by a low circular wall, the house is private but not isolated; several other houses are nestled in the woods.

The heart of the house is a square room, pleasantly furnished to make your stay comfortable and relaxing. There are two bedrooms with en suite bathrooms, a third sleeping space, a sitting room overlooking the courtyard and well equipped kitchen with all appliances.

The inner courtyard is delightfully furnished for al fresco dining and the patio is ideal for relaxing outdoors. For your comfort there is air conditioning, hi-fi stereo system, LCD TV with satellite, wi-fi internet access, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, dryer and barbecue.

Across the road from the house, about 100 feet away, a large shared pool and tennis courts are available to the occupants of the property. A guard lives on the grounds.

Port Grimaud is between Nice and Marseille, 1½ hour from Nice airport and a 50 minute drive from The Toulon-Hyères regional airport.

The location could not be more private yet it is close to everything the French Riviera has to offer: sandy beaches, restaurants, night life, shopping and famous towns and villages like St. Tropez, Ste. Maxime, Antibes, Cannes and Nice.

All aquatic sports can be practiced from water skiing to sailing to diving. Excursions by boat to the small islands near the coast give visitors a taste of the Garden of Eden. Year round, from Hyères or Le Lavandou, a short crossing ferries people to Les Iles d’Hyères, three Mediterranean jewels named Porquerolles, Port Cros and Ile du Levant. There, hiking trails are never far from the water. In a carefully protected environment, Ile des Embiez is a favorite of divers. It is home to L'Institut Oceanographique Paul Ricard.

The drive from Le Lavandou to La Croix Valmer and from St Tropez to Théoule and Cannes is one of the most scenic in France. Driving from west to east, towards Le Lavandou, Bormes, St Tropez, the hillside of Massif des Maures seems to reach down to the Mediterranean. Continuing to St. Raphael  and Cannes, the road winds along the foot of another group of coastal hills, Massif de L’Esterel. Red rocks contrast with the deep blue sea.   Plan de la Tour, Gassin and Ramatuelle are some of the charming villages a few miles inland.
