Located in an ancient palazzio, this beautiful and spacious apartment sits quite literally on Rome's famous Spanish Steps, a magnificent sweeping staircase leading to the French church, Trinita dei Monti. The 18th century architecture and elegant shops of the area attract Romans and world travellers year round. 

Meticulously renovated in the past year, the flat welcomes up to four guests in refined luxury. The apartment is comprised of two double bedrooms, two bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, living room, and a private terrace looking directly over the Spanish Steps.

Discerning travelers will appreciate the comfortable mattresses and high quality linens, polished hardwood floors, elegant tiled bathrooms and simple but excellent cooking facilities. Remote-controlled air conditioning in every room provides welcome relief during Rome's frequent hot spells. Public transportation via metro or bus is just moments away. 

The building is entered just off Piazza di Spagna, near the Bernini fountain. A stone staircase in the building's interior courtyard leads two flights up to the flat. In the kitchen, to the right as the apartment is entered, guests will find all new appliances, a gas range, full oven, microwave, and plenty of quality cookware and utensils for the home chef. A small table with barstools extends from the wall, perfect for chatting with the cook or sipping your morning espresso.

Just beyond, the flat opens up into the spacious living area, with two generous sofas facing a large flat screen television. At the other end of the the room is a dining area seating six. Accessed from this main area is the master bedroom, furnished with a queen bed, a vanity table with mirror and chairs, ample closet space, and ensuite bath with full tub, WC, bidet and sink. The bedroom and bathroom share a view of the building's pretty internal stairwell.

The second bathroom is located off the living room and includes an elegantly tiled shower, WC, bidet and sink. Ascend the staircase on this main floor to reach the "junior" bedroom, furnished with a double bed and a desk. Glass French doors open to the flowery outdoor terrace, perfectly equipped for al fresco dining. A small glass stairwell takes you to a mezzanine with a sitting bench looking directly out to the Spanish steps; this unique vantage point will give guests the feeling of seeing Rome from the "inside".

I had a wonderful stay here. The apartment is very clean and has plenty of space- small families won't feel crowded at all. The beds are very comfortable made with good linens, the bathrooms felt luxurious and private. You are literally sitting on the Spanish Steps but the apartment feels private and quiet nonetheless. Best of all, everything you need is a quick walk away- food shops, restaurants, shopping, the historic quarter, Trevi Fountain, etc...I would stay here again in a heartbeat! Lia C. It is quiet and comfortable, and the bed and sheets were heavenly. The owner was gracious and hospitable and we loved being in walking distance to everything we wanted to see.
