Formerly an artist's studio, this one-bedroom loft apartment is located within a complex of ancient Roman buildings, intersected by vine-tangled corridors and lush garden courtyards. With its cathedral ceilings and collection of sophisticated antiques and artifacts, the apartment will enchant lovers of art and history. Scenes from the beloved film "Roman Holiday" were filmed here.

Entrance to the property is off romantic Via Margutta, the street made famous by William Wyler's film. You'll pass through a tiled stairwell to reach the winding exterior passages leading to the apartment. Please note that there is a five-minute walk from the street entrance to the apartment's front door.

Once you've arrived inside, you'll be met by an assistant of the owner who will show you around the flat. As you enter, the kitchen is on your left. Equipment includes a four-burner gas stove, full-size refrigerator, new Bosch dishwasher, and marble countertops.

Follow the hallway into the bright and spacious livingroom with 18 foot ceilings. All of the furnishings are antiques, some rustic, some refined: two sofas (one doubles as a bed), a round dining table, and two desks. An enormous French window at the far end of the room opens to a small flowered patio (standing room only).

The tiled bathroom on this floor has a sunny tub with handheld shower head, bidet, toilet, sink and washing machine.

Along the far wall a stairwell leads to a sunny enclosed loft bedroom with a king bed. Bedroom windows overlook the verdant courtyard of the surrounding properties on one side, and from the other there are windows looking directly over the livingroom.
