This cozy apartment is located on the third floor walk-up in a brick building at the top of historic Rue Lepic, in the heart of the Montmartre neighborhood. Built in 1850, it has been fully renovated; with one regular and one small bedroom, it can sleep two couples and two children or one couple and four children, thanks to the double sofa bed in the living-room.

One enters a hallway with the bedrooms and bathroom to the right, kitchen and living room to the left. The spacious, open living room includes a sitting area with a convertible sofa, two armchairs, and a small library. Two tall windows look onto Rue Lepic, with a view of the beautiful Sacré Coeur beyond. Flat-screened TV with DVD player. Enjoy breakfast in the adjacent dining area with the morning sun streaming through large windows. A whimsically painted passe-plat window in the dining area allows convenient access to the kitchen on the other side. The compact kitchen, renovated in 2005, is equipped with an American-style refrigerator, ceramic cooktop, conventional oven, microwave and dishwasher.

Across the hall, the larger bedroom has a queen-sized bed with luxury mattress.  In the small bedroom there are two single bunk beds for children aged 5-18; the window in this room offers spectacular glimpses of the Eiffel Tower.

The white-tiled bathroom, renovated in 2010, is equipped with a shower cabin with glass walls, double sink, towel warmer/radiator, and toilet.

Rue Lepic is a winding old quarry road leading from the Boulevard de Clichy all the way to the Place Jean-Baptiste Clément, where the excellent Dalí museum is located. Along Rue Lepic, you can see the former homes of painters Toulouse-Lautrec, Renoir, and Van Gogh. There is a wonderful fruit and vegetable market open Tuesday through Saturday that allows guests to shop while taking in the sights of the Montmartre.
Just down Rue Lepic, you can visit the Café des Deux Moulins, made famous by the film Amélie. Also within short walking distance are the only two wooden windmills that remain from Montmartre's agricultural past; pretty Moulin de la Galette now houses a restaurant. Place du Tertre, full of painters at their easels, is a great spot for people watching. And the Sacré Coeur basilica offers some of the finest views over Paris.
The apartment building is three steps to the "Montmartrobus" shuttle stop and surrounded by city bus stops, lines # 80, 95, 30 (Arc de Triomphe)  # 68 (Opera, Latin Quarter at Rue du Bac) # 74 (Louvre, Chatelet, Hotel de Ville). The metro line #12 takes you to La Madeleine, Concorde, Orsay Museum, Sevres Babylone, Rue de Rennes and Montparnasse train station.

The apartment was perfect for our family of four. We were extremely pleased with the accommodations, the woman that was your representative there, and your service.  John and Deborah L, Seattle, WA

We can’t wait to go back!  I want to go when the weather is comfortable, seeing as how most places do not have air conditioning.  We loved how the windows at Rue Lepic opened and we were able to get a beautiful cross-breeze to keep us cool during our stay.  That was one of the many good features of the apartment – plenty of light and air!  We loved hearing the children play in the school yard, the scooters, cabs and busses, and the laughter of people as they walked the neighborhood.  I am so glad you suggested we stay at Rue Lepic.
