This two-bedroom flat, redone to perfection in 2015, enchants guests with spectacular views, vintage details, and a dreamy situation in the medieval heart of Paris. Located on the seventh and top floor, with  elevator access to the floor below and help to the top floor, St. Michel looks out over the Parisian rooftops from nearly every room. From the spacious terrace, guests will revel in a direct view of the Notre Dame cathedral just across the Seine.

Completely updated and remodeled, the apartment is graced with historical details such as dormer windows, slanted ceiling nooks, wooden shutters and exposed beams. The sitting room is furnished with a sofa, antique wood tables and armchairs, low glass coffee table, desk, and decorative fireplace.
Wifi internet, unlimited calls to the US and a flat screen TV with English news stations are offered so guests won't feel disconnected (unless they want to!).  Vintage French doors with wood shutters open to the private terrace. Patio furniture for four is provided as well as a retractable awning for alfresco dining and entertaining.

Screened from view by a partial wall, the kitchen has a large antique armoire/pantry, a round dining table cleverly concealed cabinetry containing all the cookware you'll need to prepare meals. Equipment includes a full size refrigerator, electric glass cook top with full oven below, microwave, dishwasher, and combination washer/dryer.

Past the living and dining area is a hallway leading to bedrooms and baths. The larger of the two bedrooms includes an antique armoire, a double bed and a single bed. A small window looks out onto the famous gothic church, St. Séverin. In the other bedroom there is an antique armoire and a new queen bed. Each bathroom has been impeccably updated, one with a shower stall, toilet, and sink, the second with a bathtub, sink, bidet and toilet.

Just a couple blocks from the Seine, St. Michel is a pleasant walk to either  "Marché de Buci" or to "Marché Maubert". The area is full of outdoor cafés, boutiques, restaurants, bakeries and pastry shops.  Lively Boulevard Saint-Michel is one block away.

The apartment is also one block from Rue de la Huchette with its historical jazz clubs, and two lovely old churches, Romanesque Saint-Julien-le-Pauvre and 11th century Gothic Saint-Séverin, both used as small and intimate concert spaces where you might have the pleasure of catching a live performance. The street, a continuation of Rue St. Jacques, crosses the river and becomes Rue de la Cité on Île de la Cité where La Cathédrale Notre Dame de Paris stands, between two branches of the Seine. Also on Île de la Cité, a visit or a concert at La Sainte Chapelle built by King St. Louis in the 13th century will be a memorable experience. La Conciergerie is another beautiful building on the same river island, Île de la Cité. Built in 1284-1314 to be the town’s main prison, many French citizens were imprisoned there, the most famous among them Queen Marie Antoinette, whose cell is now a chapel to her memory.

Medieval Paris can still be experienced in this area, the oldest and most historic of Paris. The Luxembourg Gardens, La Sorbonne, and Musée de Cluny are among the landmarks in the vicinity.

General Location Map

The apartment was lovely and comfortable, perfect size for the 4 of us. We loved the location. My only recommendation would be to provide more hand towels for the bathrooms and more kitchen towels but that's a minor issue. T.McD. Arlington Heights, IL, April 2016

The apartment was managed perfectly, the location is unbeatable and it has everything one might need including the bells of Notre Dame. We will never stay anywhere else! L.B. Bulverde, TX, July 2014
This was a wonderful property near many sites that we enjoyed visiting. In particular, being next to Notre-Dame and St-Julien-Le-Pauvre allowed us to easily go to concerts there. Also the terrace on the seventh floor has a unique panoramic view, including Notre-Dame at close range.

The apartment was the beautiful setting for our honeymoon in Paris, unforgettable view from balcony. We enjoyed every moment... everything was perfect.

Loved the terrace and being able to relax after a day in Paris! each night felt like we were going home to relax. Saint Michel Notre Dame is definitely on our list of places to stay when we return to Paris. D. & B. F. Silverdale, WA , July 12

The St.Michel Notre Dame apartment was absolutely perfect, the beds were comfortable, the shower seemed to have unlimited steaming hot water, and the washer/dryer was a life-saver.The apartment wifi was faster than what we have at home. We only had to walk a block to get to a nice boulangerie, a couple of blocks to metro stations and easy walking distacne to the markets and landmarks of the Latin Quarter. The representatice who met us at the apartment was very helpful and friendly and the rides from the airport that you arranged were prompt and polite. I also very much appreciated the quick replies to questions I emailed you.
Judy S. Kimberly, OR, March 12

We had a terrific time in Paris and truly enjoyed the apartment. The location was terrific for us and getting around to where we wanted to go. We appreciaetd that the pictures on your website were exactly what we were going to get, not like some that make their apartments look the size of a mansion and where they're no bigger than a closet. The terrace alone would sell the place!
Thanks agaon for all your help in geeting our vacation off to a great start!
