General Location Map

Vence was great.  We made day trips to the Cap Ferrat and Antibes.  We had a memorable lunch at Captain Cook restaurant in St. Jean and thoroughly enjoyed the walk along the port and past the old villas.  The market and the port with the luxury yachts were the highlights of Antibes for us.  There were a number of national holidays, May 1st and a long weekend from 5th and 8th, while we were there, so traffic and parking were a bit crazy.
Staying put in Vence was the best part of our week.  The views from the balcony of the studio were fabulous, both day and night.  When I close my eyes, I can still the view.
On the Monday, we explored the old town using the T1 self-guided tour map.  After that, on every walk through the old town we discovered a new hidden charming corner.  We found our own favorite butcher, wine shop and bakery and of course, restaurants.  We felt as if we had moved to France.
